MeetMic 1.33 lets you choose exactly what a meeting recording captures, cleans up History with type filters and sorting — and makes meeting recording free for everyone.
New Features
Meeting Recording, Your Way
Settings → Record Meetings → Audio now lets you choose what a meeting recording captures: microphone + system audio, microphone only, or system audio only — microphone-only eliminates duplicated segments when the room echoes into both sources. The floating recording panel can be switched off or hidden for an hour, the menu bar shows the meeting currently being recorded, and History gained type filters (Imported, Recordings, Meetings, Downloads) with newest-or-oldest sorting. Settings → Cleanup shows a storage usage panel so you can see what MeetMic keeps.
Pro Changes
Meeting recording is now free for everyone — no paywall on any record button. Pro applies only to the non-default audio-source modes and automatic meeting detection. Transcript chunking is no longer Pro, and the free tier accepts more formats: webm, mkv, aac, flac and aiff files transcribe without a license.
Fixes
- Fixed a rare race that could leave a finished recording with no audio when the recording sheet was closed at the wrong moment.
- Send to Mac is far more reliable: transfers survive the iPhone locking mid-send, an interrupted send is now clearly marked instead of silently stalling, and the Mac picks up incoming transcripts even when it's running from the menu bar with no window open.
- Audio-only files no longer show a phantom Video export menu — video is detected from the file's actual content, not its extension.
- The sidebar update pill appears reliably again while an automatic update is pending.
- The meeting banner now reads "Now · until
" while a meeting is running instead of repeating a start time that had already passed.
