MeetMic 1.32

MeetMic 1.32 brings the app to your terminal, adds four new on-device transcription models, teaches Ask AI to actually answer questions, and gives speakers a face.

New Features

MeetMic (CLI)

MeetMic can now be controlled from the terminal. Install the meetmic command with one click from Settings → Command Line, then transcribe files, list your history and pull out text from scripts, Shortcuts, or any other tool on your Mac. The Commands list in the same pane shows everything the tool can do, so you don't need to go hunting through documentation.

The command line tool is a Pro feature.

Four New On-Device Models

The on-device transcription catalog grew by four, all running locally on your Mac:

  • Parakeet Japanese - a dedicated Japanese model.
  • Nemotron Multilingual - English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Chinese and Japanese, with automatic language detection.
  • SenseVoice Small - over 50 languages with automatic detection.
  • Paraformer Large - Mandarin Chinese.

Find them under Settings → Transcription Models.

Speaker detection is not available for SenseVoice and Paraformer.

Speaker Avatars

Speakers can now carry a photo. Add one from the global speakers list in Settings → Speakers and it appears next to their name throughout the transcript, so a long multi-speaker conversation is readable at a glance. Avatars travel with your speakers to MeetMic on iPhone.

Cleanup You Control

Settings → Cleanup now separates the automatic retention schedule from the one-off cleanups. New Delete All Content, Delete All Transcriptions and Delete All Dictations buttons remove everything immediately, each telling you exactly how much it is about to delete before you confirm.

Smaller Library, Fewer Surprises

Every recording now lives inside its transcript instead of leaving a second copy in a folder that no cleanup could reach, and the large intermediate audio file each job used to keep is gone. Existing libraries reclaim the space as jobs are cleaned up. Scheduled update checks no longer interrupt you with a dialog either — the update pill in the sidebar is the only reminder, and it's there when you're ready for it.

Pro Changes

Export formats and Whisper model import are no longer Pro-only — they're available to everyone. Share with friends in Settings → About copies a link that gives a friend 20% off.
